GPM Leads 3rd Vaccination Drive in Magsaysay

July ended on a high note as Global Process Manager, Inc. (GPM), MAGSAYSAY's business process outsourcing arm, teamed up with the Department of Health (DOH) and Manila Health Department for the inoculation of COVID-19 vaccines to MPs and their families as well as friends in Times Plaza on July 29 at the 15th floor of Times Plaza Building in Manila.

In the continuing pursuit of running the race towards herd immunity, 402 individuals were inoculated with Pfizer-BioNTech Covid Vaccine. Primary shots and a first booster were offered to all categories while second booster shots were up for A1 (Workers in Frontline Health Services), A2 (All Senior Citizens), and A3 (Persons with Comorbidities).

"We really want our MPs to be fully protected from COVID, that's why we've partnered with the DOH and Manila Health Department to bring the vaccination drive closer to our employees who have no time or have difficulty securing schedules for their vaccinations in LGUs," said Health and Wellness Officer Ynas Morales. "What's important is apart from protecting themselves, we are glad that they also bring their families, friends, and even neighbors as well to pass on the extra protection from the virus in their communities."

During the preparation stage, GPM President Erik M. Nielsen personally met with Dra. Haydee Palamo, DOH Development Management Officer IV Representative for the City of Manila, and Dr. Jesse Bermejo, Manila Health Department City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) Chief, to ensure that the venue for the vaccination drive passed the required standards of the DOH.

GPM Human Resource Head Cecil Gamos, on the other hand, emphasized the importance of encouraging MPs to take their vaccinations. She shared, "the pandemic is not yet over, and there are still impending risks to the health of MPs. We are deeply committed to prioritizing their health and safety while ensuring continued operations to keep the economy running towards a 'better normal'. In that way, we are also doing our part in helping the country achieve herd immunity."

Previously, MAGSAYSAY, through its Human Resources Council and the Health, Safety, Environment, and Security (HSES) teams, partnered with Manila Doctors Hospital in marking the first step towards the organization’s goal to combat COVID-19. MPs and their families were immunized with primary shots of Astra Zeneca COVID-19 vaccines.

This year’s COVID vaccination drive likewise wouldn't be possible without the help and support from various departments including Human Resources Council, HSES, Magsaysay Property Management Corporation (MPMC), and Magsaysay World Communications.

Stay tuned for more updates on programs and information on COVID-19, MPs!
