GPM Celebrates Wellness Day with Activities Promoting Health and Well-Being

On October 15, 2026, Global Process Manager (GPM) celebrated Wellness Day, led by the HR and Wellness departments, featuring informative lectures and webinars designed to promote overall health and well-being among employees. The celebration featured two key sessions focusing on physical and mental health.

At 10:00 AM, employees attended a live health lecture titled “Why Eyestrain Causes Headache,” led by Melanie I. Viñas, O.D., Optometrist and Learning and Development Head, and Head Optometrist for Corporate Partnership at OJO Eyewear. The session discussed the common causes of eyestrain, its connection to headaches, and practical ways to maintain good eye health. Following the lecture, employees also had the opportunity to undergo an eye checkup.

In the afternoon, employees participated in the live mental health webinar titled “Ganda, Pogi, Musta Ka?” conducted by Dr. Jose Angelo Culala, Behavioral Specialist at Magsaysay Learning Resource Institute, and sponsored by the HRSS Team. The session encouraged employees to take a moment to check in with themselves, raise awareness about mental health, and recognize the importance of prioritizing emotional well-being.

Through these initiatives, GPM continues to emphasize the importance of a healthy and supportive workplace where employees are encouraged to care for both their physical and mental health. Wellness Day served as a reminder that taking care of ourselves is an essential part of living well, working effectively, and building a healthier workplace together.
