GPM experiences magic at the 2022 Family Day at Enchanted Kingdom
The Family Day is an annual tradition Global Process Manager Inc. (GPM) holds allowing employees to spend time with their families. As the first in-person Family Day held after 3 years since the start of the pandemic, GPM decided to hold this year’s Family Day at Enchanted Kingdom, giving a magical experience to their employees and client teams.
The event was held on November 20, 2022 and officially started at 10 AM at Enchanted Kingdom’s bandstand. Based on those who registered, over 1,080 participants joined the Family Day. The program started with a thrilling dance routine performed by Enchanted Kingdom’s own dance crew. Song and dance lit up the place as GPM President, Mr. Erik Nielsen, personally joined the dancers, bringing excitement to everyone. This was followed by welcome remarks from Mr. Nielsen and the GPM Head of Human Resource Shared Services (HRSS), Ms. Maria Cecilia Gamos.
Thereafter, the raffle winners were announced. More than 20 winners won minor prizes such as gift checks, breakfast sets and gift certificates for spas and restaurants. Two lucky winners won the long-awaited grand prizes: a Samsung A03 mobile phone, complete with a digital smartwatch and wireless buds package; and a trip for two to Boracay with airfare and hotel accommodation.
Then, the Enchanted Kingdom mascot, Eldar the Wizard showed up onstage to the delight of the children who had their photo taken with the mascot. Afterwards GPM employees and the client teams took turns to have their picture taken with the mascot.
Just like one big GPM family, everyone had their lunch together after the program. After lunch, everyone had the time of their lives enjoying the rides, games and other facilities Enchanted Kingdom had to offer. The younger kids had a blast playing in Boulderville and enjoying children-safe rides. The adults, on the other hand opted for the more exciting rides like the Space Shuttle, Rialto 4D, Jungle Log Jam, Anchors Away and Rio Grande among others. And for children of all ages, the 4D adventure, Agila brought them to different famous landmarks in the Philippines. Some even stayed until park closing to enjoy the fireworks display.
“It was a dream project for me and the HR team.”, said Ms. Gamos. “It was not just a continuation of the Family Day events of past years, but it was a celebration of family and friendship-- of saying thank you to the employees and their families-- for each of them form part of what GPM is today. It was also a toast to health, as it was the first major event of GPM after the pandemic years. Our hearts are full to hear that everyone enjoyed the event.”, she continued.
