Let the GPM games begin!

With the Badminton games held last Saturday, August 12, 2023 at the Citismash Badminton Court, Binondo Manila, the GPM Sportsfest 2023 took off with a resounding success. Four teams participated in the Badminton tournament, namely, Garrets International Ltd., Medallion Class Experience Center, Wrist Ship Supply and Global Process Manager, Inc.

A brief program was held with Medallion’s Skai Espinosa leading the opening prayer. GPM’s Health and Wellness Officer, Ynas Morales reminded everyone of the health and safety procedure while at the venue. Then GPM’s Arum Yoon led the Oath of Sportsmanship. A Ceremonial Toss led by GPM Human Resource Head, Ms. Maria Cecilia O. Gamos and the Team Captains of the participating teams commemorated the start of the Badminton games.

A total of 40 games were held that morning; and emerging Champions in the Women’s Doubles Division were GPM’s Kristine Barra and Bernadette Rebulanan. Finishing Second also from GPM were Xena Rose Pagarigan and Shelly Taratara. In the Men’s Division, the Champions were Medallion’s Skai Espinosa and Arnaldo Bullag. Placing second were Garrets’ Roder Aspilla and Arrence Alcantara. In the Mixed Doubles Division, the GPM tandem of Andrea Villanueva and Jerrymee Melad were Champions, with Garrets’ Precious Anne David and Roder Aspilla placing Second.

The GPM Sportsfest 2023 will hold a series of games in the next two to three months in four sports disciplines namely: Badminton, Bowling, Volleyball and Basketball. Next in line is the Bowling Tournament to be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 4:00 PM at Paeng’s Midtown Bowling, Robinsons Manila. See you there and cheer for your team!
